A good deck is settled on paper before a single board is cut. We set the whole thing out to scale, work out the structure, and show you exactly what you are getting. That is a habit from twenty years in the building industry, and it is why our jobs run smoothly on site.
Then it is in the detail: a substructure sized to the span, fixings and flashings chosen to shed water and resist corrosion in a coastal or high-UV climate, and boards laid with consistent gaps and clean lines. Built to last, and finished so it looks the part.

Many decks in NSW are exempt development, but plenty need a CDC or a full DA. We check which one applies before you commit, prepare the plans and supporting documents, and lodge the application on the NSW Planning Portal on your behalf, so it stays simple for you.

- Composite or hardwood: which deck should I build?
- It comes down to looks, upkeep and budget. Composite holds its colour and asks very little of you year to year. Spotted gum and merbau give you real timber grain and warmth, and reward an oil now and then. We walk you through the trade-off with samples in hand, then build whichever suits how you live.
- What does a new deck cost?
- It depends on size, the boards you choose, the height off the ground and the ground itself. We price each job properly after seeing the site, and our quotes are clear and itemised so you can see where the money goes. See our pricing page for indicative figures. (TBC.)
- How long does it take to build a deck?
- Most domestic decks are a matter of days on the tools once we start, with design, materials and any approval sorted beforehand. We give you a realistic timeline up front and keep you posted as the job runs, so you always know where things are at.
- Do you handle the design and council approval?
- Yes, end to end. Every deck starts as a proper scaled drawing, structure and all. From there we work out the approval path: many decks in NSW are exempt, others need a CDC or a full DA, and where one is needed we prepare and lodge it on the NSW Planning Portal for you.
